I am not sure I have ever found a cheap banjo wheel, but I have found 3 floppy wheels from 3 different sources over the last several years. I finally gave up on the idea as all 3 were too flexible for my liking and the diameter (gripping) of the rim itself is about 3/4", which is too small for my hands to grip comfortably for any period of time. I love the look, can't live with the ones I have had....went to a 4 arm Moto-Lita vintage race car look wheel.
