Ha, just kiddin, causin I have a speedster. Hope the search goes well. They seem to be few and far between, but more chance than finding a SAW...there was a car on Ebay this week that looked like it was an IM roadster, but it had some peculiar mods or it just plain wasnt an IM. Not sure.

I too am looking for the dream IM. I've written Henry, searched the web and hope...HOPE that in the winter months, someone will want to part with theirs.

Depending on "bonus time", I may take a bigger plunge, but we'll see. It's hard to stay financially responsible with this Speedster bug in me.

Maybe if you guys put a little more info in, like what exactly you are looking for, it would help. Things like price range and mileage requirements etc would possibly pull some peoples strings and get them to come to you.

And where you are located might help too. Shipping a Speedie from one coast to another and a flight to look at a vehicle can eat into discretionary funds. Not sure why folks don't want to post their location in their profile --- unless they park the vehicle they have posted in their photos on a dark street!

Excellent ideas all. I'm looking at a budget of under $35K for an IM in great shape. I want to drive it ALOT, not just on weekends. Larger engine and most of desirable features are what I'm looking for.

It warms my heart to see people understand and will pay a premium for an IM build. They are relatively rare, given the #'s that other manufacturers produce. You pay more, but they hold their value, because...... simply put, they are not "Kit cars". They are built to be driven and built to last!

Dennis, my car was for sale about a month ago, but I have since had my mind changed for me... amazing stuff that estrogen. Anyway, I have seen some nice IM's lately going for in that range, so hopefully you can join us in our crazy henry cars. Its a lot of money to spend on a toy, but none of us gets out of here alive, and how much you have when you die doesn't get you through the pearly gates. Besides, I have done way too much bad stuff already (that I don't regret at all) that I have no plans on taking warm clothes with me when I go..if you know what I mean.

James: I followed the thread of your repentant sale, so it was just "wishful joking"! Seriously, keep me in mind should you cross a great IM that might be for sale.

I'm a rabid member of the "Die Broke" club, so I'm not worrying about a new toy. Gotta' be working for something, so it might as well be for wind on my hairless head driving the IM.
