Wanted: 3 gauge instrument set

Is there a cheaper way to go on the three guage set than VS's package for $450?
I keep reading about how poorly these perform and figure someone might have these used... shame to buy them new if they don't work great in the first place.

I heard from Kirk that the defects in the first batch should've been corrected. You can also try buying them through JPS or Special Edition.

Hey THAT's good news. Do they all sell the same thing from the same mfg?

I got mine from Beck for $375 about a year ago.

Kirk (VS) and John (JPS) both primarily use the replica Chinese gauges.
Although Kirk buys my Brazilian VDO gauges for his EU cars, and I sent John a few sets for the coupe project.

The Brazilian VDO gauges are $150 ea. or $400 for the full set. I am currently backordered, and don't expect to be able to ship these for at least 45 days.

If you want the Chinese repro gauges, I think I have a few (4 or so) sets of those in a box. I'll double check when I get to work. If anyone wants them, I'll sell them for $200 a set. They are new, never used, BUT I will only sell them on these conditions: "as-is" no warranty, no guarantee, no returns. Once these are gone I don't want to hear about them or see them again. ;)

The Brazil VDO as well as the Chinese replicas look almost identical; like these....

"white faced set " - Originals were NOT white faced - they're kind of a charcoal background with green numerals. Do the Chinese ones have both KM/Hr and MPH?

Just sent you an email, I'd like to get a set of the VDO gauges ASAP to replace the Chinese ones I have in the car at present.

Do you have a wiring diagram and some close up pics of the VDO gauges?

Also what fuel tank sender are they used with?

Yes, I have all the wiring diagrams needed.
Uses VDO fuel sender P/N 221.003.001R but I have seen it work with others.
Alan M. used these in Al S.'s build, but I don't think I sent him the sender, so he may know another that will work.
