There's a gorgeous metallic blue widebody owned by Gerd Kerswell. He's selling it to build a custom JPS 356 coupe. If the color is acceptible, you couldn't ask for a nicer looking car. Check out the "ITS TIME TO SELL" thread on this forum. It's also pictured on the JPS website gallery page.

I appreciate all the hits on my request. Just a nother thought to speed up my process of buying the car i want. I have a 2004 BMW r1150rt Black in perfect condition that I will trade with cash for the right speedster. This bike is the supreme daily commuter back and forth to work. Bike is easily worth 12,000.

FWIW - Considering Gerd's car (repainted Red by JPS) would be a good choice!
Solid car with documented history and shows pride-of-ownership!!

Hey Gerd I like your blue ride but the wife doesn't sorry she's into red or silver. I thought about the paint change but Id have to change interior, top, paint; oh hell I'd have to build from ground up to keep her happy.
Jarrod, have wifey take a run in the TuffTubb, then make me an offer, you never know??

Desi there's no doubt you have a bad ride but my attempt at convincing the wife to take out a loan on your ride has been like pulling teeth. I'd be embarrased to offer you what we can afford and it would be a crime for you to take it.

well it has been a tough road to find the perfect wide body and I have found myself looking at the original bathtub style's again to get myself into a car before the summer comes. It looks like I'm going build a new wide body through Vintage Speedster to get exactly what I want. If anyone has any suggestions on what to have added to the new car, like things you wish you had asked for when building your's, would be a big help. I know nothing about the motors, I just want a everyday driver that is reliable and never over heats and of course the biggest I can go for power. Thanks for your input. Also If any one has any pictures of a bad ass 356 they saw at a show or somewhere out driving I would like to see them to get future idea's (paint, chrome, interior colors, add on extra's). You can post them here or send them to lasobadboy at earthlink dot net
Jarrod , This is a VS wide body I redid and slod a couple of years ago.

Well gentle men it looks like everything you could ask for on a Speedster from Vintage Speedster will cost me $26,000 for the wide body and a 1915 motor. Those guys are sending 90% of what they build to Europe at this point but they will stop what they are doing to build one for us locals. Thanks to all who gave me the info on what to include on my dream ride.
JJ - did you make the deposit? just reduced my asking price $25995.00
all info on - thesamba.com
You could be rollin this weekend. Cabanaboy 714-907-5999
