I went through the hassle of trying to save a buck on chrome wheels and found it was not worth it. You might get lucky on ebay or Samba, but the best best is to hit a VW show or just buy new. Check HotVWs for a company called Kustom Warehouse. Usually have good deals on package sets of chrome.

I just swapped out my 4-lug Chromes for a FUCHS set up.
The hubcaps have a "porsche look" crest and have some pitting.
I still have them with A LOT of tread left on the tires.

Well, there you go. If there is no takers I am interested too. I have Fuchs on my car now and am still thinking about the swap out.
I got burned on a chrome wheel deal last year looking for good used ones (no one from this forum).

I just bought Brian's chromies, What a great guy! (So far, he STILL has the option of screwing me . . . ) I guess that when buying stuff for particular cars and models it's best to stay with in forum . . . ?
I've had a few terrible experiences on Ebay, and great ones on TheSamba and here.

Remember to post some pics of your 356!! And when you get the chance, become a donating registered member.
This sight has saved me (3) roadside emergency fixes and kept me from wasting hundreds of dollars on unneccesary mods, and now its helped me to clean out on corner of the garage!!

The wheels and tires that I picked up from Brian came Friday afternoon, and they are beautiful! He even threw in the hubcaps for FREE!! (in return for a pic of the car wearing the new rubber.)
