Paul--try Vintage Speedsters. I replaced mine recently because they shrink and creat spaces in front and rear where the strips fit into the channel. I used a heat gun to make 'em pliable as it's a tight fit. Good luck!
Mango Man,
Splain to me about that steering wheel on your car. Is that an original Porsche made out of unobtainium? Or is it a repop? Will it fit in my VS steering column? I really like it. Its a break from the banjo and chinese Nardi knock offs.
its a 1956 vw oval window steering wheel, column, column sleeve, horn brush and turn signal.
i made it fit my ball joint front end at the coupler (easy). the rest was pretty much as bolt in as you can get with these cars.
I have the complete bumpers wiht strips. What is the coiled up cord?
Trade ya for a deck lid cable.
a guy on flebay sells them new, wolfgang just posted some fiberflab emblems the guy also sells,so klick on link&then look at the rest of his stuff.I think it's the old fiberflub/clasisick old stock, probably all the stuff that was never sent with the cars like mine.
thanks for the lead Mark.
Bluz - i don't need the whole bumper, just the deco strip. the coil in the picture is just the rubber part. i need the aluminum piece and the rubber piece. either one full deco strip from one bumper - or two.
willing to straight trade for my rear dual center exit 2.25" tail pipe setup
i hand fabbed this setup with mandrel tubing and u-bends. a fair trade IMO is for hopefully two deco strips.
It's not a 100% bolt on, but it would be very easy to adapt to a sidewinder any muffler shop could install it
Really busy today but let me go out to shop and see if all is in really nice condition. I have John's A-1 muffler that loops back to teh rear so I think I will pass on your piece as nice as it is. Coco matts?
I will get back to you on weekend
I tried to PM you but all I saw was "start dialog". Look there. Or PM me if you did not get it.
Dialog sent.
What header do you use?
I can't figure this out. Can't find your dialog. THe deco has never been installed. My only concern is that if I sell them my bumpers are worthless. I made you an offer to sell. Wanted to PM that info.
Help me figure this out.
OH, and if it is me you are asking RE header. I use John's at A-1 Powerhaus extractor sidewinder with the loop that takes it out back. I need to take some more pics.
No the header question was pointed at Mango(Paul). But I've since looked into it and saw his set up.
BluzBrudda - at the top of the website page, next to your SOC member avatar(picture) is a dialog tab. If it is highlighted orange (or red, whatever that color is) you will find comments from another SOC member. These comments are off the grid and viewable only to whoever the sender selects/invites.
Hey, thanks MusBjim. I found these new reproductions on Samba for $75. I won't sell mine for this low price.. Hope this helps Mango. I did not hear back from him in my dialog
Interesting. Went to Vintage speedsters and they sell the deco with strip for $125/each. Mine are also new and I will sell them for $125 both plus shipping.
got a set. Thanks Bill!
(and the tailpipe setup is now gone too)
