Will a auth. carrera deck lid fit on a vintage speedster? metal, fiberglass, or alum.
I think Carey at Special Edition said he had some and I know John at JPS has them. The fiberglass ones come in two pieces that need to bonded together, I think? No idea if an original would fit but I would imagine an aftermarket one would be alot less $. I too am considering the Carrera GT look down the road so let me know how it works if you go forward.

Go to the Makers Tab above and it'll link you to the sites. I don't recall seeing the decks listed in any of the parts offerings but you can call either place and ask for John at JPS or Carey at Specialty and they can quote you a price. You can see the deck on both sites I think?
JPS uses the same body manufacturer as Vintage, so I'd recommend them as a source. Variances between manufacturers would possibly mean that a deck lid from Carey at Special Edition wouldn't fit your Vintage.

A straight CMC will do -- he bought that twin-grille cobble-job.
Anybody able to help? Maybe there are six or seven of them in your woodshed? One hiding from the cops in your basement?
You Canadian guys, maybe using them as snowshoes?
Otherwise, I'd like to put a plug in for him with this Carrera lid, pending confirmation from him -- can'ya file him in the possibles?
