Wanted: Cheap Running VW Engine that will drop into a Vintage

Guys,

I am looking for an old, CHEAP, running VW Type I engine that I can drop into a Vintage. I guess an old 1200/1300 would be best. I strongly prefer something that will fit right in with no mods.

I want it as a spare that I can "educate" myself with, so as to not ruin the good motor.

Pointers to good websites offering such engines would also be appreciated (I don't need a pointer to eBay though!).
