I saw one for sale in the classifieds at The Samba.
Yeah repair it (easily welded) -- you want the two to be identical (mirror image). One tall and one short or one skinny and other fat won't cut it. Does good one you have have manf on it (like EMPI?)
I got the 44IDFs used. They came with short no-offset Manifolds, They are a pain to work on and the 3-4 side has to use an extension on the linkage (because the carb sets back so far).
I have a set of CBperformance manifolds that came with a set of Dellortos. One of them had a broken ear. I repaired it with jbweld. Needless to say, it didn't make it.
I don't want to go back to short manifolds, and I hate to buy a pair and have one left over (again), so I'm looking for a CBperformance style type 1 dual port Weber/Dellorto manifold.
For now, I'm running a short manifold on 1-2 side and a CBperformance (taller & offset)manifold on 3-4 side. I had to adapt the linkage, but so far it works OK.
