Hello,
I’m new to the forum. I have completed a FFR Cobra kit and am looking for a new adventure, and money pit.
I would love to build a Spyder and if anyone out there has a kit they have not completed or a wreaked Spyder please drop me an email to discuss about buying it. I would also consider a completed car.
I am located in Southern California.
Thanks
Rick Williams

Weren't there a couple of rollers for sale in SoCal that somebody spied in an e-bay or Samba ad a couple weeks ago?
Here is a start: Rusty Tubs has a Chamonix 550 frame for $3995.00
e-bay item #321205702192
1955 Porsche 550 replica roller
(562) 261-5183
$14,000 buy it now
car is in Huntington Park
Have fun!
(I have no interest in this car or listing, just trying to help.)
Thanks Bob!
I emailed them to get a little more info. What do you think about the price? Who do you think if the manufacturer?
Rick
What I know about 550 replicas you could fit on the head of a pin, so I'm no help on the technical stuff. Don't worry though, you'll get plenty of input as guys and gals who know these cars see your post.

I have never heard of the manufacturer before. This car looks like it used to be electric powered. The wheels , mirrors and where the gas tank should go are not really 'spyder' correct. If you get it for a good price, you may have to double it, to get it to be something you would want to drive. For a little more money, you could get something much nicer and closer to being drivable. This car also has no VIN, so you have to deal with that. In Canada, you can't just take the VIN from another car and transfer it.
I just posted my Beck speedster om Samba the other day Silver/red int. 2110 eng. plus lots more 144 miles took del.on 9/2012. asking 425,500
That should read $25,500

Ooooo, at least you have to drive it to Cars & Coffee once when you get here (if you still have it). Actually, I know one of the locals that might be interested.
