Looking for a light gray carpet kit for a cmc speedster , checking on here for one first before , either having my upholstered make one or buying one new, so if you've got a kit your not using let me know.

Would you believe I still have the color swatches CMC sent me in 1989! They had only black, bright red, burgundy and dark brown carpets. I need to spread out samples of the swatches (vinyl too) and photograph them for future generations.
Ask Kirk if his carpet kit will fit a CMC. Seems like it would since both are pan based cars.
I freshened my VS up with new carpets from VS and it went very well. When you remove the old carpets its a goodtime to paint truck bed liner on the inside of the floor and install Dynamat or similar material.
A couple of years ago at Carlisle I looked at the carpet samples atthat IM offers and they are sensational. Thereal deal as far as correctGerman Squareave but I'm pretty sure the IM carpets won't fit a VS. Get some VS carpet samples from Kirk. Easy job and rewarding.
wasnt looking for new, but depends on price. trying to do it on a budget right now.
just received my convertible top with scissor bows like original, from Rafael Albiter,from mexico.looks great now just need to put it on the car, interior seats and panels getting done in a few weeks
Would like pictures and feed back on the scissors top once you install.

I too would be very curious to see Raphaels scissors top frame installed I bought one a few years ago having always wanted that style and sadly had to return it because the massive header bow with five inch clips would not come close to fitting my windscreen I know he has been making revisions so very anxious to see yours I would definitely like to buy one.
You could always see if the Beck folks would sell you one of their scissors frames.

you know I didn't even know they used a scissors frame , I always wanted that style not only for the improved seal at top of window but I am so so tired of struggling to close my top because of the lack of support of the top material esp if I don't have a passenger in the car. I haven't made it to Carlisle in a few years so don't get the chance to see all the improvements in person. Buuut I must say a few days ago on my 54th birthday I decided I want to plan on biting the bullet and spring for a JPS subie coupe , the weather here is so humid I feel I would get more enjoyable use from a coupe and real defrost and AC well that the stuff dreams are made of. I have a pair of cmc's titled as early beetles to sadly part with first though.

That is actually quite nice looking. Not Mango Smoothie quality but nice product. Does it take hidden snaps across back or is that just in the build photo? Looks like a fixed tension bar in back. That's some set of plans that Rafael is working with in one photo.
