I'll be removing the rocker panel trim, the bumper trim, the side trim and possibly the bumper guards. I haven't decided about the guards yet because I'm going to see IF they can be used with the Carrera style bumper trim (aluminum band). I don't think I'll like the look with them but I may be forced to put up with it until I no longer have to park on city streets.
I'll also be removing the speedster scripts and the carrera scripts on the fenders, but I had to remove some of the studs on those, I think? I'll check when they come off.
I'm going for the Carrera GT look. As you probably know, they had minimal trim. A very sleek look in my opinion.
My gut is really churning about the wheel situation. I was on the phone with Cip1 for about a half an hour today pleading with them to take all the parts back with no hassles. To this point, they were very accommodating. We'll see what happens when it all gets there. I've come to the conclusion that I'll just have to suck it up and stick with the 4 bolts. I'm still going to narrow the rear and I'm going to put 15x5.5 stock VW silver painted wheels on with baby moons, though that could change. And I'm gonna put some really nice tires on. I figure at least I'll be able to still get some performance benefits from them.
It's not the plan I had originally set out with but I think it'll still be OK.
