I am looking for-if it ever existed; a hardtop for my Intermeccanica Speedster built in 1977 and any tonneau or black convertible top you might have in your stash. Lastly, does anyone have an offcut leftover of the Speedster side trim as I want to order one from SMC but as we all know, the piece behind the door handle is too short. Thanks for any leads, help!

You may want to google images search     speedster hardtop   .  Go three rows down on the left side, click on it and you'll find a thread on how I did mine. I did have to "stretch" the rear lower section back about 1/2" more than it was.

I managed to attach the hardtop with the same fittings the front bow of the soft top uses and the rear attaches on the same bolt fittings that the sides of the soft top uses.

For a backyard build, mine came out not too bad. Thanks to Carl Berry for finding a couple of them out West and getting them shipped East. Pic is of final product. My IM was built in about 1978.

Very little, Bill. The front bow area and rear deck are fine. I put some soft weatherstripping inside the hardtop along the windshield bow area.  Just  a little bit of rain water comes in where the bottom of the windshield posts meet the body.  I also did a better job with some flanged rubber stripping on the bottom of the hardtop's side windows which are not interchangeable with the soft top side windows.

With the convertible roof, I had glued on a little strip, maybe an inch and a quarter long, of windshield wiper blade refill rubber upside down in a diagonal direction out and back on the body in the area of the windshield post and that seemed to help quite a bit. I didn't do that again since the body rebuild but I will soon.

As an aside, when I redid my wiper system over last winter, I lengthened the arms and while doing so tweaked their angles so they sweep the windshield up higher and come to rest at a better angle in relation to the bottom of the windshield.
