Wanted: I owned a CMC years back and I really enjoyed that little Speedster it was far from perfect, paint was baked from the California Sun and the interior was also kinda worn out (like a old lazy boy) the bright work had a ton of Patina but I just enjoyed that type of look. I own a bunch of Woody's and like "Survivor" cars more then restored one's. Like most ole guys I am also a tinker guy, who would rather walk a mile for a deal then pay for someone to give me a ride.. If anyone knows where I can find a car that might need some TLC and been sitting? text/ call me at 562-245-2134 right here in So. Ca (Orange and Los Angeles County). My old one..(I did polish the paint- but close up it was baked pretty badly)

Did you see the red one DRCLOCK listed link to Facebook ad for? It is a CMC with a 1600 cc 356 engine for like $12k. That engine alone is worth $6k. It was located in PA.
Not liking the hood scoop on engine lid on silver one but that is easy fix. 5x130mm Fuchs are nice. If top pressure lever was pushed on top might look better.

I know you're looking for a bargain, but I think you are lucky that car was sold before you got there.
It would be well worth the trip for you to come up to San Luis Obispo this weekend to see what these cars are all about and speak with real owners.
San Luis Obispo? that area is expensive!! I am looking for a bargain.. need to stay in the Ghetto or Barrio for my taste!! I live in Newport beach but buy my food in Santa Ana!!!
@Troy Sloan he mentioned he had one before. I still think it’s good to go to SLO to see and get reacquainted

Dude... What's Ted going to ride around in if you sell the Speedster?
No offense to your rich guys but I am a loner don't hang out with rich dudes.. just a ole Car guy.. I do all my own work, I don't have a butler a maid or a mechanic
...I'm rich?
...would someone show me the money?!...
Will, I don't know if you or any of the rest of us are "rich, " but we're all at least $225,000 ahead of anyone buying an original Speedster these days and the SEGs are just as big or bigger.
Hmmm... maybe an IM TRP
That’s exactly why I got my fake Speedster; my LaFerrari is so.....yawn.
Well I think lil red Speedy is going to a new home tomorrow. If all goes well I am trading her and some $$$$$ for a 2003 IM.. The madness continues...
Red CMC w/ '64 356 Porsche engine on eBay now. NOT MINE. Bidding starts at $15k with Buy it now of $20k.
It's a project, the 356 engine peeks interest but keep in mind that there is nothing in the engine bay sealing the exhaust heat and how long that has been is a concern. So paint ($3,500) top set ($1,000) interior ( $1,500) tires($600) are the minimum $6,600 plus ( engine work ? $$$ ) will be needed to a resto this one.
Thanks for all the ad's everyone has sent- unfortunately I have seen those- I am still looking!
