Hello there,

I'm looking for a Speedster kit to build and or restore. It can be a an old replica in poor condition, it can be a never assembled kit, or even a project that was started and never finished. I'm only looking for the classic body style, not the wide-body.

Let me know what you have!

Let me know of anything available!

I'm located in Southern California, but the location of the kit doesn't matter, I can make arrangements.

Thanks!

"What would be a better idea?"

Depends - If it was put together by a tinkerer than you may be faced with total redo. Kits didn't come with chassis/trans/motor so that could add $1k easily and they are getting hard to come by. CMCs were gel coat so might not need repainting right off. There was a built, running one recently here for $7k - that only needed small things done. That extra $2k would make it a bargain. Also ensure you get a valid title (along with MSO if not yet registered). Shipping can add $2k if you're on the opposite coast!
Well I will put in my 2 cents here - I am working on one of those sort of driving and needs a whole rebuild - this is easy - start w/ new parts. Also find a pan that is good shape before you buy in - there is huge time and money if you have restore the whole pan as I am doing.
I bought in cheap, but will pay more in the long run I think in both parts and labor.
The only advantage to what I am doing is I can pay as I go - buy more or less as I go along.
Big TP2,

I've got two unfinished pan-based cars with clearly visible VINs (so handy for registration). Both roll, both have transaxles and most of the bits to finish them.

It looks like I may need money for a most ambitious project so I would be willing to part with these. I'm in Oregon, so transportation is not ridiculous.
