I'm looking for type 1 engines in good running condition, 1915cc and bigger, preferably on the west coast, but, depending on cost, would consider others. What do you have? PM me or email me at vanatic99 at yahoo. com

Tony (Anthony) is a great resource for anything ACVW on the west coast, Troy.
Thanks Terry. I don't really know much about Anthony, but somehow I got the impression that he is a professional engine builder with a shop and we already have Pat Downs and Scott Sebastion right here in this area. What I'm looking for are used engines. As an example, something that someone pulled from their car because they were upgrading. With what I do, I can't afford to pay the big bucks that the big name engine builders charge. Wish I could, but it just doesn't pencil out. What I'm looking for are bargin priced engines that I can afford to do some upgrades to.
Tony is more than an engine builder. He is also a purveyor of ACVW antiquities as well as OE engines, tins, and body parts. He can source practically anything. He has a wide network that spans the globe.
If you need something, he has it or knows someone who does. Us guys in NorCal are very fortunate to have him around.
Still looking for motors.
I did a quick internet survey, putting in the specs for my engine, so much as I know what they are, and the full retail came to over $11K. WOW!! Includes the clutch too . . .
Frazoo, I think I speak for all of us here, praytell, what are your specs?

You would deny me the simple pleasure???
Troy,
I have an 1835cc that I recently picked up. Pretty much new. Likely less than 2k on it. I have not torn down the top end yet, but it has 92's (which I don't recommend, but with a new set of 94's would be a nice 1915cc. Build locally by a well respected engine builder in this area. I've been to his shop and was blown away by how, umm, retentive he was. Here's a pic. I would be happy to tear down the top end to get a better idea of the build and send pics. I also have a 1.7 litre Porsche engine, fresh with documentation.
