I was incorrect. I should have been more certain of my facts before I said anything.
The dude who gave me my CB disc brakes is the guy I was thinking of -- he used blanks and an adapter kit to be able to use Chevy parts on his VW, which would mean a kit like this:

Hum , I have a set mounted on mine,and I have been contemplating going to the wide 5.

I'm sure there must be other people out there who have gone to wide fives or replaced their rear drums with disks and have the out drums and or rotors just taking up space.
