He** ya it is! So it was not ideal but the snow is off the roads and it is in the mid 60's. Checked the oil and tire pressure and she cranked over, @chines1 thank you and Mike for the battery tender. Just need to change the oil and need the street sweepers to do their job. No I did not turn on the heat but definitely had the seats on level 1.

Awesome Joe!
@Joe Fortino-- you sir, are the man.
Dude, you RULE!!!
I’m envious, Joe. I hope to be doing something similar soon.
Good for you, Joe. I may be doing the same tomorrow.

@Joe Fortino Not much needs to be said the big smile says it all 😂😎👍🤙
It was 57 today, and will be the same tomorrow. 65 on Thursday. I'm tuning my butt off on the EFI...
Looking good, Joe!
Same here. First good run tomorrow or Thursday.

If you buy right, an A2 is a lifetime investment, and just right for any convertible. I bought mine from LL Bean in 1980 and it’s barely broken in. On its second lining and third set of cuffs, but still going strong.

You can't beat a good Bomber jacket. I got one from Boeing years ago and I don't think it'll be "broken in" in my lifetime but it's snuggly warm in the Speedster. I hit it with "Leather Therapy" conditioner (Recommended by Dusty Johnson) spring and fall.
I thought I would be out by now, but with the sudden warm-up, everything is melting and the streets can be pretty wet so I'll wait a few days before venturing out. Wish I had almond trees in blossom like in California, but leaf-less trees and gray bark will have to do until May.
Years ago I had a leather flight suit for motorcycle riding in the winter.
Most of you have seen my RAF inspired sheepskin flight jacket. That, along with a sheepskin flight helmet, keeps me warm and toasty as needed.
And seat heaters help...

Nice Beefers, @Sacto Mitch!
All of our cows when I was a kid were Holsteins (Black and white). Tufts Univ. Veterinary School has a small herd of "Belted Galloways" from Scotland. They look like giant, walking Oreo cookies.
I couldn't take it any more and went out yesterday to "test out the heater controller". More or less followed one of my bicycle routes on back roads and it was lovely. Temps were in the mid 40's F and the heater controller is everything I hoped for plus a bag of chips. High winds and dropping temps today and the threat of snow, tomorrow.
That's it from the New England weather outpost!

@Gordon Nichols Gordon I personally have not seen cows like those in California. If they have many on a hill top that would be an attraction that can cause traffic jam here. 😂😎👍
I have seen some of the belted cows around here.

Uh, look guys, before you start getting any ideas.
Granted, it was a nice, warm day, and it was just me and the cows out there on a deserted, country road, and the early scents of spring were wafting on gentle breezes, and one cow in particular was looking at me kind of dewy-eyed.
But I swear this was just a platonic moment. Absolutely nothing untoward or inappropriate happened out there.
I have been thinking about making a run for governor, and you all know how innocent little things like this can be blown up out of all proportion by one’s political opponents. I’d rather that word of this not get out beyond this forum.
What happens in Amador county, stays in Amador county.

Yeah, I can relate to that. Cows are surprisingly affectionate animals with good memories, but they don’t know their size OR how much mass they have. Step in between them and a wall and they don’t know you’re there and can really squish you against the wall, especially if they’re hefty.
Tufts Univ. also has a small-ish herd of Scottish Highlanders at the school. Cute little buggers, kind of like miniature, wooly longhorns in browns and reds. THOSE guys are wicked friendly and come running over whenever I stop on my bike. Roughly 2/3’rds the size of Mitch’s herd.
Get someone to do their “Dreds” and they could be excellent Rastafarian cows.

Well there are all sorts of cow sanctuaries, India is strong on that, it’s their world viewpoint and it has also arrived in N/A
Another form of petting zoo.
This past week I hung out in the SoCal SoCal desert with a couple of VFW friends. Here are a few pics highlighting our desert stay (click pics to enlarge).
On the drive out I saw some cows in the fields...but didn't take any pictures. There was a bit of snow as we approached the mountain summit. This view is down the summit as we are heading to the valley. Blair Valley is just beyond the mountains 20 miles in the distance.Off the highway and onto the trail head......reached our destination and was able to set up camp while the weather was still cooperating. Day time temp was 44 degrees with forecast for rain and overnight temps of 37-39 degrees.Rene (SOCer 'Dutch') attaches the rain-fly on his tent.Watching the storm roll into the valley as our solar powered camp light is charging.'Dutch' warming up by the fire...
...as I'm in my van prepping my bedding with LOTS of blankets.Driving through a snow flurry on the mountain pass as I'm heading home.Made it safely through the snowy/icy pass and heading home to warmer temps.

Looks like fun had by all. Beautiful country. Us right coasters are not lucky enough for those views .
Sweet pictures, Jim.
Your ears look frozen in the last picture!
Seeing your camping photos makes me miss my Westy...
One year we were on Cape Cod after Columbus Day. It was so cold at night we didn't pop the top, due to uninsulated canvas. We had a big yellow Labrador and a Pelonis(ceramic disc heater) plugged into the campsite all night. I was still cold.
Musta been the ex-wife LOL!
Outstanding Jim!
Reminds me of getting caught in a freak snow storm while hunting turkey on the north rim of the Grand Canyon years ago. Disconcerting at the time.
Wouldn't change those memories for anything.
