I'm admittedly confused about which warning light represents which system on my VS? Can't seem to find that in the owners manual. Come to think of it, I can't seem to find an owner's manual (Wouldn't it be nice to have even a simple hand typed one with very basic info?).

The two red lights on the tach represent (L) oil pressure and (R) generator? Is any other light functional besides the highbeam blue light on the standard VS gauge setup? Thanks fellas.

John, funny you should mention that. A few years ago a ready-to-rock-and-roll Stinger was found in the grass shoulder on the southbound side of Maryland Route 4, about 45 miles south of Washington, D. C. No launcher, just the missle. Brings a whole new meaning to the term "road rage"...
I connected one of the unused lights to the brake light circuit. Gives
me "comfort" that they are working!

PS. Speaking of lights, I bought sockets and converted my front turn signals to parkinglights/turn signals.(Good idea George). The parking
lights only come on with the headlights.(again for the safety) That way I can cruise with the parking lights inside the buckets seperately.
Interesting that VS uses the tach warning lights one way (Oil/left, Gen/right) and JPS does the opposite (Gen/left, Oil/right).

Yet another small difference between the two builders is that VS puts the Speedo on the left (like pre-57s) and JPS puts it on the right (like 57 on).

Anyone with an IM care to divulge how the "idiot lights" are wired in their cars?
How about a tinkle-a-torium warning light, so us auld fharts, the card carrying "rusty zipper club" members, will know when it's time for a rest stop. When you are out drivin' and grinnin' you tend to forget about some things. Comes with age. My tongue is so far in my cheek now that I think it's touching my sideburns.
