Tomm, good question about the 1.8T issues. We had some issues with it early one where it would shudder and not idle smoothly. We found that avoiding Chevron gas more or less cleaned up the problem. It's funny because other people have other opinions aabout what gas to use or avoid, but for us it was Chevron. Too bad because I like their commercials.

Hi Tomm,

Congrats on your choice of a new IM. If you are considering water cooled, I can highly recommend the VW 2.0 turbo, as in the new GTI. My son just bought one and it is very fasr,200 hp and 207lbs of torque. Really nice.

If your are ever in the Seattle area, I would be happy to show you my car.
