Watkin's Glen Vintage Zippo Grand Prix

I finally found some accommodations near Watkin's Glen, NY, for the Vintage weekend, Sept. 10-12. Took a while, but found a place nearby.

Is anyone else going to this race? I try to get there every September, and don't always succeed, but this year will be nice.

I went last year and it is a fantastic weekend. Don't miss the festival downtown on Friday. There is a Concours in the town park and at 4:00 about 100 of the racers rumble into town, stop on main street, formalities and then they drive a couple of laps of the old street course. Unfortunately, I came out of retirement in June and will not be able to get away this year. Where are you staying?

BTW, I spent the weekend last year looking for Speedster replicas and all three that we found came to Carlisle.

I found a B&B in Millport, about 8 miles south of the Glen. All the Glen places have been full for a while.

Watkins Glen, both the Town and the Racetrack always puts on a fine show.
I was there a few fridays ago for the Sports Car Race and had a GREAT Time. I would have like to have stayed the whole weekend for the NASCAR Race too, but time is very dear right now.
