We have decided Intermeccanica is for us. Now...

We live in Ohio. Is it recommended that one go there to decide on things and place the order? Would they have vehicles that we could drive? We think we want a pre A without the bubble top. Now would we go back at the time of delivery for a test drive or is this not necessary?

First call Henry (604-872-4747) and talk about the cars, then ask if there is anyone in your area that would mind a visit. I am pretty sure he just sent a beautiful green with tan roadster to the ohio area. My wife I went to Intermeccanica to place our order and had a great time with Henry. That gives you a chance to look at the options and colors, books, as I think about it, I wish I could head up there right now! Anyway, it is not necessary to go there, several haven't and had excellent results. And as an aside, think about the heated seat option. I live in the sacramento area (100+ days) but on a cool fall evening my wife would love them. Have a great time, and dont hesitate to get in touch.

I asked Henry about headroom with the low-bow top (I'm 6'4") and he said it should be no problem. I think the low bow was used on both pre-A and early A cars. Frankly, I didn't do much driving with the top up on my "D" (even in the winter) but with the lower Speedster windshield i'll probably be using the top as a wind-brake in cold weather.
