After driving around for 20 years with weak, and fast blinking, similar to
when you have a bulb out, I've finilally decided to find the problem. I've checked
all the usual suspects, and no results.
Also, where can i find a replacement radio to fit in my 64 cab.
The blinker issue is for the same car.

Have you tried a different model flasher element?
There are a bazillion different ones out there to correspond with the overall resistance of the front and rear bulbs. You could start with a universal 2 or 3 prong version for 2 bulbs plus indicator and go from there.
Sometimes a heavy duty flasher, with all lights working correctly in a standard wiring venue will flash faster then normal.

I tgought that was the problem, so i ordered the bulbs right from Stoddard,
who you would think the had the right ones.
I had no idea there were so many flasher choices out there.
How do I identify which is which.
I got an inexpensive Novita at Auto Zone it's also at Pep Boys. It's in a yellow plastic housing. Its electro-mechnical. This type is louder than solid state. A big plus, with your top down.

I never thought of that.
At my age, it's hard to turn them on
and get around the car to check them
without having to take a nap.
A blinker cancellation ring will fix that.
