Where is a good place to get a Weber 44 IDF kit? I've heard that many places are out of stock because the workers at Weber are on strike or have been locked out.

Where is a good place to get a Weber 44 IDF kit? I've heard that many places are out of stock because the workers at Weber are on strike or have been locked out.
Have you tried The Samba? I just picked up a set of low mileage 45 Dells that I'm very pleased with. I did have to troll about for a few weeks.

If you can find them, buy them! The prices are going through the roof, even for the used ones. I don't imagine that they'll come back down again, at least not to last year's prices.
TheSamba is a good start, also ShopTalkForum, and the random 914 forums as well. Everyone who frequents these sites already knows the situation however, so the deals might be over.
I can ask some drag racing buddies to keep a look out as well. Of course, once you get a set, you're married to them. They aren't all that easy to rebuild/maintain/tune/etc. it took FOREVER so get ours set up and running right on the 1914 and we ended up going to a turbo in the end after all of that.

John...I have a set of 40 IDF Webbers available. They came with the car I just bought. The previous owner was thinking of putting them on his speedster, but decided not to, and sold them with the car. I have to take off for work right now, but if your interested I will take a few pics and post them later tonight.
