The engine is WOW!!
I know this car. It was at Henry's 2014 Treffen. I spoke to the owner, and he admitted he hardly ever drove it. He made the effort to tell me he had 'a number of other cars' to drive. It is quite a beauty, and has a great sound with that 911 engine.
The selling price may look like a lot of money (which it is), but that car is worth it. It was immaculate, and looks even better 'in the flesh' as they say.
I recognize it because the owner always kept a shift knob pattern thingy on the transmission tunnel for when he took it to a garage, and you can see that in some of the photos. I thought it was his car when I first looked at it, based on the 911 engine and the colour combination.
That would be a cheap (?) way to get into a 911 based Intermeccanica, with low miles, and well cared for.
If I were in the market for one, that would be it.
I actually think that selling price is more than reasonable. Pick it up for that price, drive it for a while and sell it for $70k.

Wow, lots to like in that build. But 100K+ new.....that's past hobby material now
Yes. It looks well-priced.
Its definitely +$100k new. That's a smoking deal. Where is this car located? A base suby IM would cost more than this. Great colors too. This will not last long.
Well the higher they cost the more they fall at times... You could buy it and drive it for 5 years and get your money back for sure due to the high end nature of this car.
Too bad it is not a roadster FYI, It is in Washington state.
I just found a link for you guys... this is on IM Flickr listing you can see it when it was built here. I has all the overiders plus the solidifying bars as the originals had. Cool car for sure.

copy/paste the whole line, clicking on the blue/link won't work...
Will, here is your chance to get that steering wheel
Wow... that engine...
Do people still use CD players?
Just wow. That is beautiful. Thats the kind of car that would make Musbjim reconsider his "keep it simple" strategy. I bet that thing is scary fast to drive.
The door locks are a head scratcher. The listing shows power windows listed. I didnt look to verify.
TRP, the locks are functional, mine are even on a key fob. The power window switches are likely on the drivers left side under the dash .
This one has a key fob. It says titled as a 2008 replica. I'm assuming that's the build date?
Phil: My IM is 13558; this one is 13481. So, yes, it's a few years old, but that doesn't matter at all.
That car is sweet. Like a Snickers bar to a 'weight challenged adolescent'.

Keep buying those lottery tickets...
IF you look at the bling on this car, the steering wheel, the Fuch wheels, and the overider bars alone bring the price up a lot on a new build. Never mind the engine and tranny
You're right, Ray. It's a beautiful car, and a good deal.
At $100k, why not buy a brand new Porsche? Or a slightly used one?
I guess I too live under the mantra, "keep it simple". There are a lot of cars out there for $100k that actually gain value and still provide happiness.
Happiness comes in many forms when it comes to cars. If you want something unique, or hanker for a little nostalgia, a new Porsche won't cut it.
To each his own, as they say.
Stan has been quiet; must be busy at work or building his new house. I know he has a comment on this car or maybe he bought it already
I've had BMW M cars and modern Porsches. When you first get them its exciting. But after a while it just turns into a commuter. I drive a Fiat 500 to work now. I just don't care. Can't imagine having a Boxster as my play toy. Honestly its just not that much fun. Boxsters are everywhere. How unique and special can a Boxster make you feel? My 356 replica puts a smile on my face and just makes me feel good. But this IM6 would make me feel good and would make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I'm really not criticizing anyone who keeps a Boxster in his garage as his play toy. My neighbor drives a Mini to work and has a Boxster as his play toy. I'm just not that guy.
I totally agree, probably one of my favourite cars has been my 87 535i which I drove for 10 years I loved it and my original 356A coupe(59) So my wife one days says to me why don't you get yourself a sports car seeing your a car nut to play with or get your old original 356 back.
So I mosey along to the P dealer sit in them, look at them and it was just Blah I mean they were nice but just not for me. So I looked at the originals and I remembered my original and it's issues and it's costs. Not knowing if I would still like the experience I paused, then I remembered IM and after 2 visits to Vancouver I bought a used one because I wanted to drive it and not bow down to one in the garage no matter how shining of spell binding the shape was
I have to say, nothing excites me in the car business right now except this 356 IM the rest is basically transportation and yes some comfort.

A brand new 100k+ Porsche will drive very nice and lose value at a steady predictable pace. It also looks like all the other new 100k+ Porsches. This IM will drive beautifully, looks unique and will appreciate in value over time.

Theron is right the depreciation curve for a new car is what it is ...
Buying a used Replica where the depreciation has happened allows you to drive it for many years and sell it based on condition and replacement value of building a new one.
At this point the replica has just bumped up as the US$ vs Can $ moved by 30% and all parts have suddenly bumped up as well so a new bottom price has been established so to speak. If you sold your car in the last 2 years ... Simply said, you could have sold it for more today ...gee
To compare..... Here is a fine example of the unobtanium value being given to P parts.
Yow. $2,000+ for a ring & pinion?
And to think: a new weddle 3.44 R&P for a type one transaxle is less than half that.
The same ratio for a Ford 9-inch? $200.

I have a 'made in the US' 3.44 ring & pinion and, if I remember correctly, it only cost me $300 or $400.
Yes. Me too.
Have you tried to find one lately?
Not lately, but my 3:44 last year was in the $350-$400 range.....installed.

Installed
How many decades ago was that?
That is a beautiful car and I think it is very fairly priced and maybe even under priced, considering how much it probably cost the original owner.
Wow. Who installed that?

Crazy -busy time. I looked long and hard at this listing. It's almost perfect, aside from Webers instead of PMOs.
Alas, we closed on another property last week, and I'm in the "finish-hemorrhage" portion of the building process. My fun-bucket is bone dry, or I'd be all over this.

I wish. Farms make money.
Buy a farm, but what every you do, Stanley, don't buy the farm.
I bet the force is strong, isn't it obi wan Stanobi? Flat sixes will do that to you. Pull you to the dark side. Just ask Darth Bobby.
