Hello All,

Yesterday I picked up my used CMC Speedster and drove it home to Los Angeles from Salinas. I was a bit concerned about the maiden trip being 325 miles plus but the car ran flawlessly and I can't remember a better driving experience.

Before buying I lurked here for many months and visited with John at JPS and Kirk at VS but something about the slightly used car I found online intrigued me enough to take a train to Salinas and pick up the car. The car had been built buy a man who restores Model A's for a living and the car feels and looks extremely well built.

Last night I found myself repeatedly sneaking down to the garage to check it out. Pictures will come soon, There are some ommediate changes to the car I will be making to make it more "mine".

Without this forum, I wouldn't have known what to look for in my used ride and been insprired by all the words of wisdom and fun times. Looking foeward to meeting you in Paso this year...now that I know the car can make it.

Thanks again, I'm off to grab a sweater and go for a drive.
