I'm out here in So. Cal (Arcadia Ca.) The sun was shining and it was 90 degrees today so I couldn't resist and went out for a 100 mile cruise. i didn't plan on driving that far but I did. Here I am.....with sunburned arms and face and a Steel 211 beer in my hand trying to tell all of you what a pleasure it has been today. i can't tell you how many other drivers were saluting me on how cool I must have looked but it was really uplifting!..... This positive feedback is what keeps me interested in this MADNESS ! It re-affirmed my interest to do continue to improve my car. Thank you ...all of you..... for helping me... to continue with this "MADNESS" !!........Bruce

Way to go Bruce.  Here in the Central Valley (Fresno) we've been having the same weather.  I had to re-up my supply of oil free, odor free, no pore clogging, sensitive skin friendly sunscreen also. I've been out driving with Teby and Troy on some days and with my wife on the others. So glad i got my Speedster too.

Cruise on!! I think I found a drawing of El Guapo in his Speedster but without his surfboard!!

"That can't be El Guapo.  That guy has hair."

"That can't be El Guapo. He's a bit too pale as well."

"and his head is too small...and he's not grinning enough..."

You guys are all spot on but remember this is an artisit's interpretation and if the fashion magazines are willing to lighten up Beyonce's skin tone and reshape her in a few places don't think they wouldn't do it to El Guapo.....the most guapo hombre of all....

Now back to the regularly scheduled thread....

Michael,

I've had all skin cancers, including the dreaded melanoma, which has a poor prognosis if not caught in time.  For sunscreen, I have found that the higher numbers (50-70) work best for my cheap Irish skin.  Go to your nearest big chain drug store and shop.  When I shop for sunscreen, I squeeze a tiny drop on my palm, smell it and spread it on my arm.  When I find the one that bothers me the least, I buy a couple of the biggest bottles they make.  That lasts me for a year.  I apply to head, neck, arms, and legs.  Your Michigan weather allows for sunblock clothing and hats, an addition I was forced to adopt years ago.

Michael,

The one I use is made by Nutregena. It's the 50 SPF. My wife originally got it for me as she has a very sensitive nose when it comes to odors and she really likes how this smells, or doesn't smell I should say. I find it lasts a long time, stays on pretty well when sweating and is easy to get off at the end of the day. It's not the cheapest but it works.

As a former red head now a shaved head, think 1/8th inch long hair,  grey haired dude I need sun screen for every day living. Don't forget to put the sun screen behind and inside the ears. That has always been a sensitive spot for me.

Yeah, I know.   A couple of guys I went to high school with are follicly challenged so, just to piss them off, I grew my hair out this winter much like Michael Landon on "Little Houes on the Prairie".

It's been a fun experience, especially learning how to keep it looking decent As it got long, but seein the look when I saw them at a local business function was worth it.
