A little mini trip to Garner Ranch which is above Temecula past Anza about 4500 feet. A great speedster driving road. Staying at my sister-in-laws cabin. She is the director of the Pathfinder Ranch and a part of the Boy's and Girl's club Palm Springs.
The little car drove great and has made me rethink the freeway flyer trannie my stock 4:11 worked just fine. Lots of twistys and its still a little warm during the day but get cool in the night.
Well we jumped into her BMW and I drove the back road down into Palm Springs, what a time warp! Will drive the speedy into Idywild which is about 35 miles down the road.
The Speedsters were made for this kind of driving.
Will update this thread Sunday when I get back, including pictures.

Ps Calling SD and OC members this might be a good place for a weekend run with a sleepover. More info later.

Cheers

Well just got home and over all it was a fun trip but it is still very warm up there in fact it was 95+ both days, might be better when it cools down some.
Drove from Garner Ranch up to Idylwild which is another 35 mins and 1000 ft of elevation for about 5500 ft or a mile. Had a nice breakfast at a place called the Aroma Cafe. Had a photo session in the trees and then drove home. Round trip was 240 miles +- trouble free, oil temp 220-230.
Oh and I promised pics but just opened the camera to get the card and realized No Card (forgot to put it in Duh).

Hope everyone had fun this weekend, got a bear of a week ahead of me.

Cheers
Dave
