Jen,

The hotel has a happy hour that is suppose to be pretty good, so Friday arrival will simply be at the hotel...Scott is looking into the Diablo power plant run on Saturday for times, and we will all gather accordingly....group pic's at the plant..

Saturday night is set for dinner & Raffle afterwards...

Nothing firm for Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning......

Hey Goofy one....Raffle is saturday evening after dinner...bring whatever you want for the raffle

Sounds like a full weekend. Just my opinion, but I don't think anything else needs to be planned. If you want I can put together a list of suggested things to do that we just distribute to everyone then they can decide what they want to do. I'll include things like the concours and local car gatherings. I think I have a list from last year that I can update.

But if you want an organized activity, I'll help plan it. Just let me know what you want it to be.

I think it would be very cool for MisterAC to join us for this event!

The West Coast SOC gathering is much different from the larger East Coast SOC gathering, in that the East Coast SOC group is a part of an annual National Kit Car event. It is held on a large show-ground with buildings dedicated to vendor booths and manufacture showcase.

West Coast is very informal (loosely structured) and purely a summer cruising event. With a central gathering place/hotel, attendees can choose from a couple of cruise options, or do their own thing (sight-see, antiques shopping, wineries, etc).

The larger number of attendees originate from points in SoCal and rendezvous at various locations on Friday morning (Seal Beach, Malibu, Oxnard).

Just driving one of your bad-ass CC vehicles would be great promotion for the event and your company.

Hope you'll join us!

Hey Jim, I just spent Sunday scouting possible drives in the same area you mentioned! Standby on organizing a drive. Ill have a few options depending on weather and desired destinations for the group!  My concern with Cambria is parking for all of us! We can discuss it later if you want and I can bounce my ideas off you to see what you think!!

@Scott - Thanx for the route recommendations. I've been checking Google maps for decent roads but its kinda limited info. You set the course, and if needed I can lead.

@Terry - isn't every cruise with Penny an up-tempo cruise. Depending on the number of participants we can determine logistics of splitting two groups on same course (up-tempo group in front).

Hey John - certainly glad you'll be joining the SoCal caravan. We will be meeting at our typical Friday morning Malibu rendezvous - the Topanga Ranch Motel, just north of where Topanga Cyn intersects Pacific Coast Hwy (18711 PCH, Malibu). Meeting time = 10:00AM, departing Topanga Motel 10:30AM. Arrive with a full  tank of gas.

I'm not familiar with lodging in the Malibu area (maybe someone will chime in), but anywhere within a 10-mile radius should give you plenty of options (proximity, room rating, secure parking). Looking forward to meeting you and checking out your car!
