My wife booked us at the Q.Suites for fri and sat. ....now I will reeeaaad.
Gary
Cool...Are we the lone Northerners? Are you booked for Friday night? We were hoping to start Friday...maybe mornning???
Eddy - it will be good to see you & your bad-a$$ car with this group again!
Garbo - Great hear you'll join us. It will be a lot of fun, for sure!
As with everyone....I intended coming but procrastinated til last minute. I have had a lot of fun with my go-cart...and hope to enjoy the group gathering.
Thanks..to the organizers...it is not easy to 'herd cats' and this is comparable.
It will be fun to see other tubs...I've only seen one more than mine...in person.
Seeya.
Garbo - here's a link to a video of last year's SOC in Pismo Beach! Its a bit on the long side (12 minutes) but will give you an idea of the cruises and gatherings that goes on. Looking forward to seeing you guys in SLO!

GOOD VIDEO JIMMY
Hi Jim, Nice reminder from last years good time. Looking forward to seeing it all again. Thanks
Bob

OH TEBY AVOID VINCE AT ALL COSTS
lol lol make sure you point him out before its too late......
Thank you for the welcome... "the axis of evil". Perfect. I like to keep a foot in the door as far as branding is concerned. I'm happy to see Vince is styling the horns. Many of my deciples often ditch the horns claiming they are not PC!! Lol lol lol
it will be good fun. Cant wait to meet.
Teby
Teby.
Just remember that you are a Fresno boy and not one of those Southern Calif.limp wristers. Especially that Vince guy!
^ Bwaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa!
Great video Jimbo – however you missed the fireside fireball shot session that Gerd, Cramer, Marlene and I had.
Last year was a lot if fun!
On the way up to San Luis Obispo...there is Santa Ynez Valley Craft Beer Trail map...
Troy: There is no limp wristing here!! Lol lol that's for sure...
A little over a week away!

Yes. So what is the status? Is there a gift exchange? Is there an official list of who will be there? Did I miss a dinner payment?
Dinner payment?
Why am I not seeing all kinds of posts about our west coast meeting? It's only a week away and there should be all kinds of chatter about it. I hope I'm wrong and I'm sure that those of us who attend will have a great time, but I'm starting to get an uneasy feeling about how well the attendance is going to be.
Just checked the extended weather forecast for SLO and it looks like we can expect the low 80s for the weekend.
There's no dinner payment this year. In previous years Saturday dinner was pre-paid. Vince worked it out so we'll all have separate checks this year and can just pay at the restaurant.
The weather does look perfect! I'm excited about this trip, it'll be awesome to not get rained on or fogged in.
Hey everyone,
Not to worry about this years event. Last I checked we had 24 rooms booked under the SOC Group. I think turnout is going to be fine given that several folks have expressed they would be staying with friends in the area.
As far as the power plant tour, I think I'm gonna scrap that idea. They were requiring quite a bit of personal information on a form to be faxed a week in advance. I didn't anticipate that anyone would be willing to supply me with their SSN and Date of Birth so I cancelled for this year.
I set up dinner up the street at Pappy MacGregors which is an Irish Pub and Restaurant. The location is within a block of the hotel for those who wish to walk or stagger home. The restaurant worked with me and allowed us to have separate checks. Past experience has been good even with large groups ordering this way, so we should be fine.
For Saturdays events, I've consulted with Vince and we've decided to start the drive at 10:00 am. I will have some stopping points set up with a lunch spot where we can all take pictures if we want. From there, I have several different routes planned so there will be something for everyone.
I will set up the restaurant to start accepting us around 6 or so for those who want to hit the bar or start ordering appetizers. Dinner should be sometime after 7 PM allowing everyone to relax and have plenty of time to get ready.
I set this weekend up to have something for everyone. It's not set up to make everyone follow some strict schedule or agenda, although we will have some times as guidelines.
When everyone talks about this event, I hope they can say the only thing they liked better than the event was the people they got to hang out with.
In other words, everyone relax and get ready to have a great time!!
Vince: Please try to get me an approximate headcount if you have it, so I can give the lunch locale an approx number so they can be prepared for us... I can guesstimate the dinner crowd at around 50-60 people based on the hotel count.
Anyone who has an interest in being a drive leader, let me know. I might need a few depending on what everyone decides at lunch. I plan on throwing out the different ideas before we start driving so everyone can make their decision at lunch as to what direction they want to head. We can split up or stay together after lunch. Again, I have something for everyone!
I am bringing tickets for a raffle that we can have at the restaurant, so please bring an item for the raffle if you so desire, I will be bringing a few things, and any money collected will also be raffled off as a prize at the end...
Although I got volunteered to plan this years event, Scott C is a local to the area and has connections to get most of this planned, so a really big thanks to him for doing this...
Jimbo, were you able to get a map of the area so everyone has a clue as to where we will be driving?????
being somewhat computer illiterate, I couldn't find a condenced version map of the area, so if you have a GPS, Atlas or local map, bring it.....
IM GOING BUT MIGHT NOT MEET U AT TOPANGA THIS YEAR
Scott, thanks for putting this together and doing all the heavy lifting.
Vince, thanks for standing around and looking pretty.
Really looking forward to the event since I missed last year.
If there are self-directed maps I'll be happy to lead a group. Of course, i can't guarantee that I won't miss a turn or two.
I'll bring one or two items for the raffle - are we able to bring alcoholic beverages for prizes?
Troy, not to worry about a small turnout - I'll be there!
Unfortunately, GERD will be there as well...
Scott, thanks for putting this together and doing all the heavy lifting.
Vince, thanks for standing around and looking pretty.
TERRY ILL BE THERE IN FULL FORCE
Hey Scott - email me the routes you have for cruising and I'll do a map rendering so directions will be easy to follow. I'll make map copies for everyone. Put me down to lead any of the routes/cruises you've mapped out!
Jim:
I need to create a cruise map for Corn Daze. What program or software are you using to do this, Jaime?
Thanks
