With the help of Scott Cramer, we are looking into the Quality Suites which is closer to the downtown area, similar ammenities, but without banquet room, price is slightly cheaper for the suite (room) but we will need to go elsewhere for saturday dinner..
I will keep you all informed on final decision..

Vince, I just sent you an e-mail with all the hotel information and possible banquet location. Let me know what you think and we can get it locked down for a little better price than what Embassy wanted (plus NO Deposit required).
As far as parks, in SLO there is no drinking (or smoking) anywhere in public so if that's a factor let me know and I can find a park where we can drink, carouse, cajole, cornhole (the game even though I'm still not sure what it is after the rain out) or whatever Vinces' heart desires.
P.S. The possible banquet restaurant has dancing girls in short kilts and tight tops....
And, yes Chris, I will drink with you downtown, but no burnouts in my cop car since I won't be working!! LOL
I'm also willing to put together the events for the dates we will be there, but let me know and we can start planning for that too!!

The above referenced site (Tilted Kilt) contains "malware" ! One of my two security programs flashed a warning: it may try to alter a registry key. Don't know if others are vulnerable or to what degree potentially affected. Rarely get these warnings as I am vigilant (daily) with upgrades. My program quarantined it, then I sent it packing.
Just a cautionary note.
We have a Tilted Kilt restaurant up here, in Toronto. Haven't been to it, but I may try it now. I had no problems getting to their website. It's just a nice, formula based drinking establishment/pub, with young sweeties in short kilts.
