What a great crowd. Such a great event. Start to finish - nothing but fun. Alexis and I were very impressed with the thought and planning that went into the event. We will be back for sure.

Below are a few shots from the second and third stops.

Thank you to all who attended for such a warm welcome. What an amazing bunch of people.

Had a great time this weekend, special thanks again to Scott for planning this shindig. Lots of new members present, they fit right in & appeared to have a good time, so it appears the west coast SOC is thriving....

The truck is really a beach cruiser, but made the round trip without missing a beat.

The "Gay Pride" parade was held in Los Angeles today, but unfortunetly we got back to late to enter the truck with it's new color....There's always next year...

Hello ALL:    I have to start by saying, "WHAT AN AMAZING TIME!!"

AND WOW....  What a great group of people. I really enjoyed meeting all of you who participated in this years event. A big thanks to all who worked hard in planning this years event..  I enjoyed every minute!!

Hopefully Troy and I can Bring more people from Fresno.. They missed a great time for sure.

Ill be back next year for sure!!

Karine and I are safely back in AZ after a fantastic weekend with really cool people who made us new comers feel right at home. Thanks Scott and Marlene for all your hard work... Hope you feel the gratitude we all share for this very successful event. Would NOT miss out next year. To all the attendees we want to say thank you as well for your warmth and entertaining moments we shared. See you next year!

From what we recall, Blake and I had a great weekend! I am now fully recovered from all the shenanigans I took part in. But I will forever be traumatized by Gerd's shirt.

Thanks to Ted for saving the day by providing the foam gasket we needed to enjoy the weekend without worry. Ted would you PM your address to me, I'd like to send you a replacement.

This year's low point was lower than any other gathering: seeing Jim's car smashed up in the road was a shocking moment. So glad that everyone walked away. Jim, tell Ginny that I'm keeping her in my thoughts.

The highlight: I can't choose! Loved the drives, loved the company, loved hanging out by the fire pits. I'm already looking forward to next year!

And of course, thanks to Scott and Marlene for organizing a great weekend!

Dave - Hope to see you in another Speedster next year. That Fiat you guys were in was very fast!

aHHH, WHAT CAN WE SAY ABOUT THIS YEARS EVENT... Nothing it was just right... Lili and I had a blast at the Berlin Concert... who woulda thunk it! Besides being 2- of the only 4 Latinos in Paso Robles this weekend, and that includes ALL the help too! We had a great time talking and eating too... well mostly talking.. thanks to ALL that laughed at my korny jokes (as Lili calls them) and thanks for making everyone feel at home Scott. To: Jim and Ginny our true SOC troopers... The Lord works in wonderful ways my friends and YOU are proof of it! and I actually WON a freaking raffle prize this year... Big Tom cant wait to get that baby in a frame and on the wall in our house! Looking forward to next year already... Via con dios mi amigos..

Speedster "D" out for another year!

I don't have much to add. Scott and Marlene do an amazing job with the drives, the venues, and their familiarity with all things Central Coast guarantee a receptiveness from the locals - very cool.

It seems that everyone who atends this gathering has a sense of belonging. My brother, Kevin, and I were best friends with Teby before an hour had passed.

I picked up with Eddy, Blake and Jen and Larry like it was yesterday, but it had really been a year since our last meeting.

Tom and Kim and little Charlie bring a sense of a growing family to the mix and it makes me happy to see  younger people enjoying the moment with us older farts.

Gerd (pronounced "Jar-ed") is, in many ways, the catalyst for all things zany  but is also the first one to pull over and offer help to those in mechanical distress or some other need. Of course, Carol is a saint for putting up with the little bugger.

Ted is a welcome addition to this group. Fast talking and near riot-like enthusiasm, he has the ability to laugh at himself while keeping the rest of us in stitches. I believe his lovely wife, Alexis, has the proper restraints and pharmaceuticals to keep him sedated when needed.

But the guy I keep coming back to see is Vince. I could take up a bit of real estate here to describe what makes him so special, but I offer all of you an invitation to come out and meet Vince next year at this wonderful event. As he said to my brother and I, "This isn't a car group, it's a drinking group that likes cars."

I would amend that to say It isn't a car group, it's a SOCIAL group that likes cars.

Thanks again to all those who attended. I can't wait for next year.

Blake and Jen - don't sweat that foam seal. I had a spare and I brought it along just in case someone needed it. I'm glad that it went to good use. Next year I'll bring another one and maybe some intake gaskets.  Someone just needs to bring me a new third gear synchro.

Terry - You and your brother are ton of fun. I admire your relationship.  It almost makes me want to call my own brother.   I'm telling you - that was the biggest and meanest German Shepard I've ever seen. I think it had rabies.

I'm still laughing at Teby and the photo he took of Alexis and I. Too funny.

Jimbo - I'll send you some photos asap.

This exactly describes the vibe at Carlisle, which has been described as a big family reunion where you actually like everybody.  I'm glad you guys have created a similar event out there and I would love to make a visit some year.

Hey David:

Yes that was Morro rock..  Scott took us on a Mr toads wild ride through some wicked and challenging canyon roads that ended up on 1.. So we had the opportunity to drive down the coast line back to San Louis..  I couldn't pass on the cool video opportunity on nothing less than awesome day on the west coast..

I live for days like that.. I live in Fresno, CA (MID California) it gets very hot here so a trip to the coast is always a refreshing retreat..

Your Bride is very right!!    You both need to get down here for sure and enjoy the beautiful California Weather..

Unless you were in my car... We fell way to the back of the pack and were eventually riding solo. It wasn't until we got into SLO that we finally caught up with the tail end of the group.

1600cc / stock 67 swing - FTW!

You have a really nice looking car Ted. You had mentioned new paint but I would leave it as is - the patina is perfect and the car looks authentic! Get the 3rd gear fixed and motor upgraded!

I know how to fix that Ted...
