I noticed a 356 replica obn Ebay with following things that "could need some attention in the near future...."
What's an estimate of cost for the stuff below?

1) The sloppy shift linkage. The car is totally drivable and all gears accessible, but over time the new owner may find his or her enjoyment increased by correcting this.
2) The driver's door side trim (included in sale) which has detached needs to be popped back on.
3) The BugPack brand muffler has broken at the inlet side. It makes no appreciable extra noise but in it's present condition is quite likely to demand attention. Since it's not at all rusty, it may well be possible to remove and repair it.
4) The Haartz top is indeed beautiful but the frame needs some attention and tweaking to stay in position while driving: the bows tend to slip causing the top to loose tension during driving. At present it looks great while parked!
5) The paint is indeed shiny but the execution of the paint-job was not totally professional and as such there's a some orange peel. Admirers and well wishers never seem to acknowledge this and it's certainly a non-issue when enjoying a drive, but taking this car to the show level of appearance would likely take some work.
6) The gear box does make some noise in 1st and 2nd gears.

Around a two hundred bucks (including most of the materials) if you do the work yourself.

The trim snaps will be $10/$15.
The new shift coupler will be $15.
The weld on the muffler will be $20/$50.
The top frame you can adjust/fix yourself.
The paint will need to be wet sanded and buffed out. You do the work and the supplies will be around $50/$75.
High performance transaxle oil will be around $50.

You guys are awesome!
Thanks for all the help!!!
Just recently sold a car to "pay some bills" I am already in the hunt for something else to fill the space in the garage. Cold Nebraska winters are about to hit!!! Need something to keep me busy! Was hoping to spend about 13.5k including shipping on a little 356 "fixer upper"......that is proving to be a bit harder than I though! Have it narrowed down to one in NJ ($1000 for shipping -ouch!!) A silverr on on EBay or I just seen one on Samba in AZ. That I am looking into.
Again thanks for all your help.....will keep you posted on my next money pit......uh i mean car!!!
