For our third in a series of monthly gatherings, I’m happy to report our little group was able to do more than hang out in a parking lot.  It was a great day for driving the canyons and cruising PCH.  There were five of us today, hopefully we’ll have a few more next month.  Besides my self, @Colorjockey @jncspyder and @BETTYLU356Speedster were there, and a new owner not yet on this forum.  These cars are a blast.  While on PCH, and group of 6 or 7 Panteras rolled past us, that was fun.

Hey Bruce - we gathered at the Old Place restaurant on Mulholland in the morning before they opened.  That allowed us to grab all of the parking spots in front.  Actually a Ferrari parked next to us before Jim pulled up - it was funny watching him move so we can park together (he volunteered - cool dude).

After hanging out for a bit we cruised down to PCH on Kanan, turned right and drove on PCH to Neptune’s Net where we parked for a while, then continued East past Mugu rock, then traveled the back way on Potrero Road skirting Lake Sherwood, then found our separate ways home.

The weather was perfect for top down driving.

Hmmm Kanan Road........I think it has a couple tunnels right ?  Used to drive up that way to deliver naughty kids to Camp Kilpatrick up there and sometimes to Camp 13 for the older dumb asses.  Beautiful winding drive down to PCH. (Pacific Coast Highway or 101 for you Easterners) I hope you guys are still doing these runs when my car is finished.  Thanks for posting stuff on here !...........Bruce

Jim - nope - we don’t want the fastest car leading the way.

Bruce we sure hope to continue this once a month.  We pick a date, usually the fourth Saturday or Sunday of each month, pick a rendezvous spot and loose plans for a drive, and whoever shows up that day is part of the detailed planning as we chat for a bit before we set out.

September will be our fourth run and we are looking at Sunday the 24th.   There is a photographer who goes by Victory Jon who sets up on Mulholland drive near Las Virgenes.  He takes photos of bikes and cars that drive by.  He posts watermarked versions on his website so you can view them, and if you wish you can purchase the digital image from him.  He can be found at highwayphotos.net.   We intend to include a drive by his location on the 24th.

Jon
