What a HOOT! | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

Last Friday the local 356 club used our cars for a Meals On Wheels promotion and we drove our cars to deliver the meals. The HOOT was the next day's paper coverage only showed MY Speedster!!!! Yep, all those originals and the only one pictured was the Replica!! Funny, and the guys in the club are not about to let me forget it.

Last Sunday we had a show at the Porsche dealer's lot in Ft Collins and we had about 85 cars showing. Great show and fantastic 356 cars from all years. Beautiful !! The show raised another $5000 for Meals On Wheels so it was successful all around.

I just had to tell about it to show that not ALL original owners object to we of the "replica persuasion">

Dusty - Contributing to the community while driving cool cars, Good on you! Call it a hunch, but I'm guessing the reason your car was singled out as the best photo op was because Sharon was in it!!

Well, I can testify that the LMS sure does light up a certain motorcycle, so I'm betting she still catches the eye in a Speedster too. What a great win-win idea there: car show, ego trip, helping hand -- how does it get better than that?
