So they're NOT authentic...so what?...neither is the fake replica they're driving!

Carl, the Karmen Ghia Shinedown license plate light is close but I'm running the 550 Spyder Shinedown. The Ghia option looks good too and is a much more economical option.  imageimage

What Carl said; you're never going to fool the Porsche purist police and most of them won't even want to associate with you, so don't worry about it.

I have a buffer and I use it but not routinely.  Swirl marks require a judgement call as to how much and what material to use.   If you get too aggressive you can do damage and if you don't have enough abrasive you don't get the job done.   I don't buy black cars because I can't seem to reach a happy medium for myself.   In addition most of my cars are small and you have to be very careful with buffers on the edges.  For a speedster unless you've got really bad paint to bring back a buffer isn't a lot of help.  I do like the clay bars they seem to do the job as advertised and I tend to do the same as others with the detailers.    I used to wax the dickens out of my cars but I do not believe the modern paints need it.   Clean and a touch of detailer or a clear paint sealer is good enough for my newer cars.   Too much rubbing can make you sore, the car too.    I have an air dryer.  I do like that.  Blows the car dry so less touching.    Use the dryer a lot more then the buffer.

I saw some Canadian X Copper, who made an L bracket to fit the side of his liscence plate which when photographed at an angle would not allow one letter to be seen of the liscence plate. That can be easily done out of aluminum. The law states that it must be clearly visible that is all, it can be from straight on but not at an angle that the picture is shot at ....

Fortuna California, did a test and found that the yellow lights in the intersections that they had installed cameras were not long enough to permit the intersection to properly clear given the traffic.  They experimented with 4.7 seconds and found that no red light running occurred. At the end of the year they lost 150K on the red lights and they cancelled the contract. The camera increased the rear enders by 50% and they were asking the wrong question.  Conclusion, if the intersection is busy 5 secs is truly neeed for safe clearing of the intersection. The USA passed a law to the minimum time for a yellow light as the redline camera leesors sometimes used a one second yellow to pict your pocket... I wonder how long the yellow light is on the intersection that you crossed, go check and go to court... the documentation of the studies are out there you can bring them and argue that the camera is preset to penalize you.  Hey in passing, how is the new engine testing out?

In California it is required that a yellow light be 1 second for every 10 mph up to a max of 5 seconds (I believe).  It might be a max of 4 seconds, I'm not a traffic engineer so I can't remember. You won't find too many city streets with speed limits over 50 mph anyway. In California you are legally in the intersection when the front wheels of your vehicle crossed the limit line. If you have lawfully entered the intersection before the lights turns  red then you can not be cited for running a red light. There is no requirement that you be clear of the intersection before the light turns red.
