Can anyone tell me what brand kit this might be. I questioned the seller and his response was "I don't know". Looks to have Vintage wheels, but the black rubber on the bottom of the windshield frame does not look Vintage to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-P...uxFYw0ca&vxp=mtr

Looks to be the wide body that VS says they don't make any more. Like the wheels.

So the not Super Widebody. The black rubber bottom of the windshield frame did not look like a VS to me.
That looks like a VS IMO. Very similar black (with white dot) paint in the engine bay. Same curly alt/gen cable. Dash pad fold near the outside windshield edge is the same.

Wolfgang is correct with a caveat. It is the mildly flared version, not the traditional non-flared version and not the Super Widebody version. The caveat is that JPS also had access to these cars because he buys his cars from Kirk at Vintage, so it could be a JPS build. It is also possible that it was purchased as a kit and home built.
So, is it located in Sugar Land, TX or Las Vegas, NV?

I was afraid to ask that question of the seller. My guess is the seller lives in Texas, and has a place in Vegas where he keeps the car?
Looks exactly like my wide body Fiber Fab.
I like it plain and simple and has eye appeal. Those fuel lines need to come off the shroud, too many connections near the dizzy and alternator ..... increases the chance of fire~

In my eye, the VS regular flare looks very smooth, blended int the fender. The FF/CMC is more abrupt/add on looking flare.

I took a very close look at the photos shown in the above link and compared those to the photos I have of my FF.
No doubt, you are correct, the red car has blended in flares. One of these days, I'll get new glasses.
I have nothing to add on the manuf. of this car. But this speedster has been posted several times before, ebay and here I think. That is NOT an evaluation, only a observation. I'm not a wide or semi wide body fan. I distinctly remember a Las Vegas home for this speedster.
A wiser man than I said, "it's a big tent with room for all"

When the seller replied IDK to my question about the manufacturer, and if the car had the freeway flier transmission I became less interested in the car. He said he was the second owner and that is why he did not know.

That is rather basic info that every Speedster owner should know about their car!?! Just my opinion.
James
I can't remember but are you looking for a wide body car?
