So when this one goes one day, what cable do you use? Who ever built my CMC loved to braise, and wasn't bad at it. They braised or is it braze? Whatever... they braised bumper brackets, heater box flanges, now this clutch cable contraption... the guy went nuts with it. Anyway.... Just curious as to what the end of the cable should look like at the throw out bearing lever... Here's mine..

Can't blame a guy for brazing if he knows how. It's becoming a lost art in a way, but if you have a torch (an oxy/actelyline torch setup) it's as easy as soldering but makes for a strong brass joint.

I've done so much of it over the years that it's my go-to choice if something needs a weld fix. The stuff can be made to flow at a relatively low temp so steel parts don't get burned away as easily as welding with steel rod can do.

A Yay for Brazing! post.
