Bill, here's a link to the definitive color charts for 356A's. B's. C's. This will get you the info you need. Although I have a black car, I really like that color too.... very retro looking.

Also. go to the 356 Registry site sometime and click on "technical info" from the main menu, scroll down half way on that new page and you will see links categorized om many subjects concerning the 356 series.

According to Dr. Brett Johnson's book - the Meissen Blue Speedsters (1957-59) came with a black top and either a red interior or a black interior.
I've seen two Replicas in Meissen Blue - both had tan tops and tan interiors, which may not be "correct," but looks a lot more "classic" than black or red.
Johnson's book is "Porsche 356 Defined, A Pictorial Guide."
I've seen a real Meissen Blue Speedster with a red interior at the International Porsche 356 Meeting in Holland last year, and that combination is really something. In fact I saw a very similar color with a red interior on a Morgan last weekend and it's very classy.
