You can easily check for pictures of members cars in the "files" section. My Intermecchanica is listed under 1FASTKID My only suggestion would be, if your going for the classic Porsche look, stick with original color combinations (ie White, Light Blue, Black & Silver or Red) for exterior colors. On the other hand, if the racing/outlaw look suits you better, then the sky's the limit.
Interior and exterior colors were the hardest choices to make. We went Black exterior, red interior, and the tan cloth top and tonneaus (tonneaui?). I think that turned out pretty well but..Black is a pain to keep dust free and looking tip top. IM can do the body work to make it "flat" but again DUST DUST DUST! There are some standard colors that work and are traditional but remember Porsche would paint to match a buyer supplied sample for about $49 bucks. I have seen several gorgeous cars that were not original speedster colors but colors from the 356 line of cars. Ruby red, Irish green/tan, Atena Blue/lt.gray, ...The choice is near limitless and ALL YOURS! My advice is take your time, look at lots of pictures and if possible go to any 356 show you can find. Then enjoy your new car.
I played with a few more modern color combinations, and really liked the way they turned out. I am building a Morro Blue Pearl currently (2004 Audi S4 color) as well as a Pearl white.
I uploaded two others. One is Forest Green Metalic (2003 Porsche color) and the other is Sazuka Blue Metallic (2003 Honda s2000 color)
The green looks black in the shade, green in the sun. The blue is a three stage that has hints of silver, blue and purple.

As Dale said, the choice is all yours. If you like it, that's all that matters.

Carey and Paul:
I've got a few pictures of my car under files/nichols1. Like Carey, I found some awesome colors from Audi and chose Pearlescent (from 1999). It's similar to some of the original speedster colors, in between a cream and that Frigidaire white they used to have, but it has a flash and shimmer to it that really sets it apart.
Carey: that blue is terrific. If I hadn't gone with the Pearl, that would have been a strong second choice! Do you have pictures of your Pearl one?

The pearl white is in early production, probably won't be painted until just before spring. I plan on using a silver mica.
I like the pearls, and have found a bunch that have a traditional tone, with a modern flare. Yours looks great.

I would dare to say that silver is the most common. Looking back at our chassis numbers, 14 of our last 30 speedsters were some variation of silver.
Paul, my first IM "D" was Porsche 356 silver with a medium blue leather interior, OEM silver/gray square weave carpeting, and beige top; the interior is a "medium" blue leather with coupe type seats that have the 356 perforation pattern. The colors all go very well together and look pretty good with the chrome/gold trim and black tires.

However, the 356 silver has a gray cast, so I had my new IM 356 Speedster done in the VW "Saphir Silver", which is a lighter color with a faint bluish cast. Carpeting will be the same OEM silver/gray square weave; leather Speedster seats are navy blue with white piping; top and tonneaus are all navy blue.

Bottom line is pick a color combo that YOU like - authentic or otherwise. One nice combo is the original 356 dark green color with beige carpeting, top, seats, etc.
Wow. I agree with Cliff, er..George! (actually not all that uncommon) About 4 months ago, Henry sent a couple of pictures of a beautiful green Roadster with a dark tan leather. It was stunning! If he has not sent you that one, ask. It is worth the look, and to me if I was doing it again, consideration.
