Here are some picture of the speedy, took delivery at 1p.m. today. Drove it home and pick-up my #1 son at his friends house he was very suprised he ask me how it feels to have a car I always dreamed of, I said it feels pretty darn grreat. Got home and wifey wants to go for a spin so I take Pacific Coast Highway from Huntington Beach to Seal Beach 6 mile run. It was very beautiful and exciting, prep her on the powerband and the close ratio gearing and she drove home of coarse she wants to stop by our friends house before we got home. Moved a few things and she looks great in our garage so what do you think???

Thanks for all the positve feedback, the beautiful lady in the picture is wifey ( lucky me ),just got home from that investment meeting, must pray and wait for the lord. Back to the speedster it's powered by a 1915 mated to close ratio tranny with 4th geared up for freeway driving,it handles very nice at high speed 70-85mph the steering is tight no slop, so stoked on this tub, the panel behind the seat is aluminum( did I spell that right)as well as the center console, door panel, kick panel, wheel well cover, I'm so bless that the seller is a Metal guy who rolls and fabs just about anything,I probably left out alot more I'll post later (getting tired) anyway it's great to meet you all I'm planning on having tech nite at my shop in Irvine ( wrench and tinker on your tub- thursday if anyone interested??)
Chillin now, went with #1 son on our first run, first stop Darolik Donuts in H.B. then south on P.C.H. to Crystal Cove lots of bling bling. down to thae RITZS then back home (getting HOT!!!).
Thursday tech nite , lets do this thing - improv see what direction it goes no promises 6p.m. - 9p.m. Log on to DESITINT.com hit contact map will pop,. anyone else your invited.
Have a great weekend, Cabanaboy OUT !!
Hey Desi!

Thanks for opening your shop with such a generous offer to host a 'Tech Nite". Unless I hear from you otherwise, I plan to show up at your shop Thursday nite (6:00pm). Even if nobody else shows up it'll be a great opportunity to see your new ride in person and talk cars.

BTW - I was at Crystal Cove this past weekend. My Speedster was parked in the main lot next to the 2 Ford GT-40s that were there. As you and your son realized, the weather brought out a huge turnout that morning. One of our fellow SOC members, Joe Lampariello, brought 3 of his other cars to the meet, 2 Lamborghinis (one metallic orange, the other metallic blue) and a red Ferrari F430 (?). You probably saw them/him there. Joe's a good guy.

I think you might appreciate this - but while I was standing by my car, a couple of the Porsche guys there asked why I would want a 'replica'. I said..."think of it like breast augmentation, (1) EVERYBODY knows they're not real, but they're...(2) still nice to look at and...(3) they're more fun to play with than the originals!!

Anyway, it's good to hear that you're having fun with the car - looking forward to meeting you.
