I love the Rudge look!
I LOVE the Rudge wheel look, and Chris Coddington (Boyd's son) makes a replica Rudge wheel (even more authentic than the photo) but last I checked the West coast distributor was selling them for something around $16,000 for a set of 4.
Chris just did a set of very authentic 16" 550 wheels for a client of mine and they are just AWESOME!
I have been speaking to several hubcap manufacturers regarding making a Rudge style hubcap for our 4 lug wheels, but no takers yet...

WOW! Nice!
My absolute favorite wheels for these cars! Pieter van Rossum did a surprisingly good mock Rudge set up on his satin black Envemo coupe that used pizza pans. Really looked nice.
I agree! If I knew how to weld I would be tempted to give them a try. Check out this thread:

Pieter said how he made them:
Ok I started with a pizza pan the diameter at the bottom needs to be around 7 3/8 so it fits in the wheel I cut the bottom of the pan drilled a hole in the center to fit the spinner ,I got the spinner's from CIP1 , then I welded 1/4 -20 studs to my lug nut directly in the center .Drilled 1/4 inch holes in a perfect circle around the middle of the dish 12 times 4 of these holes hold the cap to the studs .I used stainless steel cap nuts 8 of the twelve are dummies short 1/4 20 bolts just to hold the nuts . takes a while to do all four wheels good luck.
This is a super cool look and Pieter's method looks most reasonable. Figure a weekend's fiddling and $50. Beats the heck out of $4,000 a wheel.
And remember: the original Rudges were known to be heavy. That's one reason the real deal is so rare these days; racers had no use for 'em.
