Looks cool and old school doesn't it? I wonder if it clears the body.

Is that much different than the 'Malibu' or 'Monza' or whatever Vintage puts on their stock offerings? If so, too much restriction.

Now I'm totally jonesin' for an old time advert fix, I gotta go look at some MG Mitten ads, maybe check out some ANCO luggage racks, or dig out those Popular Mechanics plans for building a slat wood sports car body for a shortened VW chassis . . .

There is an 'old skool'Abarth, very much in keeping with the one advertised on the above link, for sale on eBay. It would need a little modifyin' to go from 356 to VW engine hook-em-ups...

I emailed them and they'll custom build to your pipe diameter specs. The guy says that they're good to around 2 liters in displacement and that he has one in a 2055 cc motor and works perfectly. They're stainless steel but pretty pricey too (around $465.00)......

Thanks Greg; I'll probably end up getting one of those; I was just exploring alternatives. I also have a 1915 but with a more restrictive although nice looking VW Mexico/EMPI header with dual tailpipe. I thought it was a 1776 all along so now I want to put something less restrictive on it.

one question, what header system are you hooking this up too? looks like it has to be either cut to fit, or what?? very interested, about to order a sidewinder system from A-1 then build my own muffler set up, will this work??
