The Velcro type material on my convertible top is Loose. Probably just a little dry with age. Any suggestions on adhesive to use? The material itself is in good shape. Thx
Contact cement is fine, for that small repair you can buy it in a small brown bottle ..( I just looked and don't have one to take a photo of..() check with a neighbor as you'll only need a small amount). You'll want to tape off the area with blue tape and cover anything that the glue might drip on.. then you coat both surfaces using a small brush , wait the allotted time and firmly press it together.
Like Alan said, Contact Cement. Anyone who says contact cement doesn't adhere hasn't used it properly. Wait until both sides have come to full tack according to the time on the label, them mate them, they will not come apart. -=theton
