My old caps have suffered a hard life of a rubber mallet from the previous owners... What is a correct and good looking cap for my speedster? Source to get them? Thanks guys

Both have the moons and the Porsche crest hubcaps. Probably another half dozen places online that you can buy them. You might try the Samba as well.
If you have 4 lug rims then you will need caps made for 4 lug wheels. Are you looking for baby moon or the crested nipple caps? Think someone said that 356 ones could be bent to fit. If you have crested ones now - remove the crests and buy EMPI or Wolfsburg ones and swap out the crests. OEM 914 hub caps are high quality chrome = but not a real tall nipple cap. You can find them on ebay/SAMBA cheap and drill for the crests. TAIWAN ones will need lots of wax to prevent rusting.

I purchased these nipple caps with emblem and they were loose on my 4 lug. I all around the edge and bent them ever so slightly with water pumps and now they fit tight and have never come off.
So what you want are the Moon hubcaps. CIP1 has them as do others.

Here is an example of the moons...
Those are 5 lug wheels, so the mounting will be different. You will need moons which fit over 'nubs' which are formed inot the wheel, not tabs that stick off the wheel.

Just remember to keep a coat of wax on 'em as the chrome is kind of thin. That'll prevent rust - or at least slow it down. I have 6 years or so on mine with no rust on the outside.

I have been having trouble with mine getting dents from installing them.
Is there some technique that prevents that?
Also, one set of moons I bought didn't have the holes for the puller.
Preeeetty....
Mike---I line 'em up then give them a good smack with an open hand. Works for both nipple hub caps and moons with no ripples or dimples in them.
Yup. Use only your open hand to install. Anything else will dent them.
I use a three point technique. Knee against the bottom of the cap set to the wheel clip then use the heel of my hands to slap the B**** onto the wheel.
Baby Moon caps with a chrome outer ring looks good - sometimes...
