what ignition system do i have

sorry for pics.
distributor has no name but has #0231178009 on side
ignition cap has no ID on it
wires are Pro 8mm made in usa
rotor has no ID on it

coil is the blue bosch
can i put a hotter coil in w/o screwing up the existing ignition.

Looks like a Bosch 009 centrifugal to me. I am not familiar with the points eliminator/electronic ignition you have.

You can change the coil, but it really won't give you any better spark, IMHO.

For $150 you can get a Pertronix Flamethrower II billet distributor and the appropriate coil and wires from CB Performance. Makes a big difference.

As Danny said, it's probably a Bosch 009 distributor.

The internals look like a Compufire point eliminator.
When ordering a cap and rotor, specify Bosch 009 for both items.

A hotter coil won't make much difference but you can switch. The blue coil should work just fine

Exactly like mine, .009 Bosch with Compufire.

I would up grade the coil to a 3 OHM internal resistor type. like the Flame Thrower or P.A.W. offers some also.

It will help your module live longer
