What is this?? | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

Hey guys, when we were inventorying all of the parts for our speedster project to find out what we were missing and what condition all the parts were in, I found this thing. It is about 40 inches long.

It seems to be painted black but made of some sort of fiberglass type material. I can’t seem to find it in any of the parts list or diagrams in the manual.

I think it may be possible that it doesn’t belong with this kit at all? In the boxes of stuff I got from the previous owner there was a motorcycle shock and some other oddball items that don’t belong.

What do you think?

Looks like it is what the top is attached to (glued) and the it’s attached to the top of the window. The two slots are where the bow clips go...
