Anybody know what this is? Original or Replica or somewhere in between?

Looks like a CMC replica with Suby Powertrain and some deceptive badging. The lack of center park brake handle is a nice touch.
Square tunnel tho? Not a Porschephile by any means but curious.
Look at the back seat. That's a replica. Hood badge makes it a CMC (like Tom already said).
It's definitely well done.
Title says it's a replica. Based on the information it's on a 1964 chassis so not a tube chassis unless they took the vin off a wrecked car and added it illegally to the custom chassis. There are other easy tells but they ones I spot are:
Picture # 3 - body thickness in the fender well, #8 - No torsion spring adjustment hole, #9 - too many tonneau cover snaps, #18 gauges not in german, #19 steering wheel and horn, and #26 - front door hinges.
Based on the CMC Classic Speedster hood handle I'd say it's a CMC. The builder could have fabricated a new square tunnel and it looks like they deleted the tunnel mount e-brake and put it under the dash. Several attempts to make it look like a real Speedster but it missed the mark.
Based on the fact that the title says it's a replica.....I'd say it's a replica
It's been on ebay for $30,000 for just short of forever. Of course, the price being $30,000 is another little hint that it's a replica
Probably a MetalCraft chassis.

Sure does say Replica in BIG letters!]
Front turn signals, wheels, hubcaps, back seat area, over riders, dash pad, front seats, frunk, and mirrors all scream "REPLICA".
Kind of an odd duck.
In addition to what’s been mentioned above, The originals I have have a rubber floor, German square weave carpet, a pocket molded/stitched in the footwell, a 45 degree chamfer at the interior sill, the heat slot at this chamfer (just forward the seat), the tach in the center (not the speedo), ........
move attached some pics below that should highlight a number of key details that stand out to me when comparing real versus replica.

I didn't put this in my reply but here's their ad on ebay
It's a copy of a replica.
Ray Charles could see that that's a replica !
I just hope he doesn't see those seats!
How can he ... I mean Ray Charles

Yep. . . . even old Ray could probably tell it's a replica. Porsche did not make a Speedster in 1964 but did make a Cabriolet and while the bodies of the two may look somewhat similar, they very in many ways. As starters look at the reshaped nose, horn grille and bumpers on an actual 1964 Porsche.

...not to mention the price missing a zero...
That's a Subaru 6 back there. I just noticed that the tach needle is broken off. I wonder if they tried to hook up the 4-cyl tach to the 6-cyl engine?
