Bruce is correct in looking for a faulty ground connection....

You state the battery was checked out as good....However, unless this was a "load" test, the battery could still be bad. A fulley charged battery should carry 13.2 t0 about 14 volts, and, when checked with a volt meter, should not drop below 12.8volts. If your voltage trickles down lower after removing the charger, consider replacement.

If you meter the battery, and try to start the engine, the voltage will drop below the 12.8volt level momentarily. If it slams to "0volts" the battery is most likely shot. Use CAUTION, as a shorted solenoid, or starter, can overload the battery.
