Hello
Happy new year!
I am not in USA.
I live in europe.
4 years ago, I bought one speedster.
That is one speedster certificate by CmC (stickers)and serial number.

But there is a problem, (I think) on my title it is write "MAKE: aspt"
I don't know what is "aspt"
Is it true to think the car as been salvaged?

Most likely the "donor" car was salvaged but it is unlikely that your car (after build from donor car) was salvage.

Each state in our country has different rules for registering these cars. We have no consistancy between states, it is as if they were different countries... Some states make you bring forward the VIN from the donor car. If that donor was "salvage" which is very common, then the salvage brand remains. Some states have "specialty construction" titles or "assembled vehicle" titles. I suspect that is what yours is, an "assembled vehicle" or something similar.

At any rate, what it was is not important. What it IS - your finished CMC is all that matters. Drive often, have fun and best wishes for the new year!

Ok thank to you for your answers.

My car got one title from florida. Because I Bought this car in Miami.
But the car came at the begining from New York. And on the title there is not VIN number but there is identification number like that : " NY 3984? ".
Now, I want to know the historic. And it's not possible.
Some body know how to do?

Ha! So your "car" (speedster kit shell) started its life at the CMC plant in Miami then was shipped apparently to NY and mated there to a shortend VW chassis (check original VW VIN number in center of back seat area just around the shift rod inspection plate) and then ended up back in Miami near 20 years later! You can decode the year chassis from VW VIN. VW kept information on which dealer it initially went to and often the initial buyer (not sure if you can still get a birth cirtificate from them).

Here's link with some history on FF/CMC:

Aparently someone on the Yahoo group has a database that has some of the initial sales information - not sure if it includes Speedies or just the Aztec/Avenger line.
